Weightloss - How Drinking Water Helps Weight to Come Off

Water plays a vital role in weight control from helping the digestive system work better to helping you achieve a sense of fullness after eating. Our bodies are composed of more than 66% water. We are constantly losing water from our bodies due to breathing, activity, and excretion of wastes. If we do not take in enough water every day, we will become dehydrated. Our bodies do not function as well when they are drier than normal. Many systems of the body suffer during dehydration, from digestion, to immunity, to weight gain. It is amazing to realize that you are already slightly dehydrated if you feel thirsty.

In order to take in sufficient water to help with weight-loss, start your day off with drinking a cool glass of water as soon as you wake up. This starts the replacement of water allowing your digestive hormones & enzymes to start flowing & helping your body to work better. More calories will be burned if you drink ice cold water. Digestion is improved with ample water intake and enables more nutrients to be obtained from the food.

The recommended amount of water is 8 - 12 glasses (8oz) per day. Drink your second one before you eat breakfast. This will help you feel full & satisfied more quickly and decrease your chances of over eating. This continues on with drinking your third glass of water during the meal by taking sips after each morsel. This will help the food to settle and begin the process of digestion faster. More nutrients can be removed from food when we are well hydrated.

Continue your water intake this way the rest of your day. If you want variety, you can make sugar-free lemon-aid with lemon juice and Stevia noncaloric sweetener. Also you can drink herbal teas to change up the taste. Herbal teas have many benefits for your health as well. Stay away from high calorie alcohols, sodas and juices. Diet soda is better than sugary soda, but definitely not as good for you as water. Sugar-free drink mixes (like Crystal Light) can be used to flavor the water for another variation.

Additional water can be obtained by eating fruits and vegetables which are mostly composed of water. Tomatoes and watermelons are approximately 90-95% water. Watermelon does have moderate sugar content, so enjoy it in moderation. Grapes have 65-75% water content but again watch out for the sugar content.

If you feel hungry and want a snack, drink a glass of water first. Often thirst is mistaken for hunger when we are slightly dehydrated. You will drop weight faster, the more water you drink within reason. Water is the perfect nutrient for your body to keep it working properly and to help you to feel energized. Tiredness is linked to dehydration as well as lack of rest.

Comparing Weightloss Workout Routines - Home VS Gym

Deciding on the best weight loss workout routine will depend on you. Each of them will take a bit of planning and dedication. In this article, you will find the many comparisons of working out at home or joining a gym. Based on the information, I hope it will help you decide which one will be the best weight loss workout routine for you.

Working out at home fitness you can get fast results. However, you need to plan first, and then follow through with your plan. If you are a self- motivator and will hold yourself accountable, this will work for you. Or, if you find it difficult keeping yourself on track, you could tell someone your goals and have them make you accountable.

From experience, I have found that if I set aside an hour each Sunday evening to plan my week, it makes my workout routine run smoothly. I make sure and plan the same time each Sunday. Establishing habits early will ensure your goals will get accomplished. During this hour, I plan out the days I am going to workout and what I am going to do and for how long. Then, I plan my meals. I feel they go hand in hand. If I work out, but overeat all the wrong foods, it will counteract my weight loss and I will get discouraged thinking working out at home isn't working.

That was how I establish my workout at home. Now, here are the benefits of working out at home.

You don't have to drive anywhere and that'll save you some time.

It's much more economical than joining a gym, which will have a monthly fee. Currently, I am now working out at home and have found this to be conducive my present schedule.

First, I purchased several workout tapes and 2 different sizes of weights. In the marketplace, there are definitely an abundance of workout tapes from Pilates to aerobics to choose from. In addition, I suggest that you alternate your workout routine, so you don't get bored.

The many complaints I find from people who try to work out at home find themselves putting it off. I highly suggest you also plan what time and stick to it. Making it the same time each time you work out, you'll find it'll become habitual sooner than if one day you workout in the morning, the next in the evening, etc. Because something always comes up and you'll put it off. I recommend you exercise in the morning before your day gets to hectic.

Joining a gym can have many benefits, as well. You just need to make sure it's going to work well with your schedule. Before you join a gym, I would highly recommend shopping different gyms, what they have to offer, and what your budget will allow. When I lived in California, my husband and I belonged to a gym that was awesome! We were both working full time, attending college, and needed somewhere to go for our workout routine.

Belonging to a gym fit our need at that time. It had a full court to play basketball, which my husband loved. He enjoyed shooting or the opportunity to pick up a game. I, on the other hand, loved working out on the treadmill or stairmaster while watching TV and using Woman Only weight room. So, the gym fit both our needs, and we had each other for motivation.

Once we were done working out, we would utilize the fully equipped locker room. It had a dry and wet sauna, hot tub, showers and ample space to get ready. After our workout, we'd go home and cook a healthy meal. We never thought of working out as a chore, but more as a much needed getaway and stress relief.

We chose to spend the money because the gym suited our needs during this time. Also, if additional help was needed in establishing a routine, the gym staff was always helpful or you could hire a personal trainer.

Hence, you need to sit down, write your goals down, and then decide on which one is going to help you get to your end goal. If you lack dedication, I recommend you join a gym and hire a personal trainer. The personal trainer will hold you accountable and train you the right way to establish healthy habits.

If you can hold yourself accountable and are on a budget, schedule your weight loss workout routine at home.

LA Weightloss Program - Is it Right For You?

The current demand for weightloss programs and products are at its highest point in recent history. This is mainly because of people who spend most of their time working and running different errands they have to finish. The age of information technology is upon us and because information can now be sent around the globe in a blink of the eye, people tend to adjust to move just as fast. Industries also change to coup with this fast pace including the food industry, and the result is unhealthy junk food and an obesity rate rising faster than oil prices. Obesity is at an all time high and it is plaguing a lot of people, hence the demand for weightloss products, which can guarantee a person with fast and efficient results.

A lot of so called magic pills and exercise machines have come out because of the need to become healthy and stay healthy. However, these products do not always work. But one weightloss program realizes that there is no one solution for everyone's problem. This program is called La weightloss program.

The La weightloss program is a centre-based program, which aims to reduce calorie intake of its members with the use of nutrition bars and counselling. They have clinics worldwide where they start off by giving a free assessment to a possible member and a program is then designed for the member. The program consists of weekly visits from a trainer, virtual trainer that shows proper exercise, online support groups and more importantly, their nutritional bars and supplements. Then, you get your own personal counsellor who not only provides you with the program but also acts as your own personal motivator (or cheering section if you will). It is more than a diet, it is a way to change your lifestyle which is the actual key to becoming healthy and staying healthy. However, is La weightloss program right for you?

The person who can answer that is yourself and not anyone else. If you believe in the La weightloss program given to you and follow it, you can achieve your goals. The back draw however, the nutritional bars and supplements of the La weightloss program which is said to be essential with the program are not cheap. It could reach up to a thousand dollars or more. Add to that the fact that there was a case wherein the company was sued because the program did not work. The company was then fined with $100,000 because of the mishap. The reason behind could be because the personal counsellors are paid by commission on the number of nutritional bars and supplements they are able to sell their clients. This is a problem because it gives rise to a conflict of interest and the counsellor could give a faulty program.

The cost of the program becomes the actual motivation of the member. The motivation to become healthy should be just that, to have a healthier lifestyle and live better. La weightloss program could be for you, if you can afford it.

Weightloss Pills - Are They Safe?

A lot of people are faced with the problem of being overweight. Obesity rate has been climbing faster than ever. This can be attested to the fast growing and quick changing world we now live in. Time is of the essence and it is a commodity that can easily run out. People tend to forget about taking care of their body and stick with eating fast food, junk food and preserved food that does nothing for the health and the body. And what is the result of all this hasty eating and eating for the sake of just eating? A lot of people are now grossly overweight. High demand for weight loss methods and weight loss products have resulted in a number of new, tempting offers from different companies and pharmacies. From drinking tea to herbal supplements. One such product is the so called magic pill or weightloss pills.

Weightloss pills are a very tempting product to try, especially for those who do not have the time or does not want to give up time for exercise. It is also a popular choice for those who simply love to eat. These weightloss pills claim that they help in blocking the absorption of fat. Some claim that taking in their pill would dramatically increase the body's metabolism and in effect increase the number of calories the body can burn. They also claim that it can reduce a person's appetite and turn fat into muscle. Though they are FDA approved, it is not a guarantee that they will work on everyone or would even work at all.

These weightloss pills are not subject to rigorous tests that the FDA conducts on other drugs so they are sold over the counter with limited safety and study of effectiveness. It is a gamble to buy and use weightloss pills as they can have side effects that are worse than what they do for the body. And, if you would look closely and listen intently to the advertisements of these pills, you would see and hear something in common. They all say that taking this product with the right diet and exercise you will lose weight immediately. But wait a minute, isn't it true that the reason people are tempted to buy weightloss pills is they do not want or does not have the time to diet and exercise?

The truth is there is no overnight way of losing weight unless you have surgery. Then, there is no sure, quick fire way of keeping weight away from your body. The real effective, tried and tested way to keep fit and healthy is still good old fashioned exercise. Losing weight and keeping yourself healthy from being obese is a lifestyle change that you will have to take on. It is not as tempting, as easy and as fast as weightloss pills promise, but the advantage of doing it the old fashioned way of eating healthy food and exercising regularly is a guaranteed effective way to get the dream body that you have craved for years and keeping yourself healthy as an ox.

WeightLoss and Blame

Short of sexuality, nothing permeates our culture quite like the issue of weight. Specifically, the loss and management of it. One could make a case that sex and fat are two sides of the same cheeseburger, but nonetheless we are bombarded by images and messages that remind us we don't look at all like swim suit models or Health practitioner.

Cynics would tell us that it's all about the money, the selling of fashion and cosmetics and self-worth, and the selling of the health clubs and magazines and diet plans that promise to get us there while they remind us we're light-years away from being a planet were everyone enjoys the perfect body weight.

Either we are not all that fat and are being conned into believing that we are... or we truly are on the plus-side of healthy poundage and in committed denial about it. For the former, we say: wake up and smell the low-fat yogurt. Because we outnumber you five to one, and we're too busy eating ourselves into oblivion to worry about you and your anxiety about moving from a size six to a size four. Three words: get a life.

For the rest of us, we too need a wake-up call. Because behind the pop psychology that would have us believe our excess weight is really all about self-image and unrequited childhood trauma and even hormone imbalance and the pressures of life itself, at the end of the day it boils down to one simple factoid: we eat too much. We eat wrong, we eat too often, and we eat to compensate for things that don't really relate to food at all.

Not to sound unsympathetic to the very human tendency to seek ways to alleviate our pain, but blaming our weight problems on life is like saying your bad hair is the result of the stock market. Sure, we don't like it, but the truth sometimes hurt. The trick to weight loss or a successful diet is to work your Diet Plan, or plan to fail. Dr. Phil would have us believe that we won't lose weight until we heal our inner chef, until we learn to feel good about ourselves. That same cynic might say that we'd feel a lot better about ourselves if we lost a few pounds.

But even that's too complicated. The solution is much simpler.

The truth is, life is difficult, and you're not Healthy. Get busy and deal with the Truth. Get clear on both issues, and you'll be better equipped to move forward and turn that two-sided cheeseburger into delicious piece of rye toast, no butter. And that is something you can feel terrific about.

Walking for Weightloss

Regular exercise always helps There is no substitute for a healthy diet and a good exercise regime. If you can find the time to do so, draw up a schedule so that you can fit in a regular course of exercise into your normally busy routine, like taking the stairs and not the elevator.

It doesn't even matter if this is the very first, or only, thing that you do to begin with to lose weight. Since we all need to start from somewhere, beginning with a regular exercise routine is as good a place to start as any.

Being ambitious in your goals is an admirable trait, but to start you should remember to keep things small, simple and manageable. Don't go off the deep end and think up a really good exercise schedule which eats into all of your spare time and then some, you will end up not completing it and getting frustrated and quitting altogether..

Start slowly, take things one at a time, and build up to that really good exercise routine. You need to have the time to make it a regular thing, and not a just one-off thing that you do for a few days and then ditch.

In this way, by taking things slowly, you will be able to incorporate regular exercise into your busy schedule over time. This in turn will ensure that you do actually stick to your schedule rather than not.

There are a number of things that you can do to begin an exercise routine, and I have to say that plain old walking is the best and easiest thing to begin with.

Or if you don't like that idea, you can always try other simple exercises such as ab-crunches, wall-push-ups, or you might even want to consider joining a yoga class.

You have a number of options open to you when looking at doing exercises, and you should choose the one that is best suited for you and or your lifestyle.

Walking is good

If you don't like the thought of regular exercise, you always have the option of going for a walk. Although this does get you moving and out and about, for some reason walking doesn't seem like exercise, which can make it easier for you to stick with it.

Find a time of day in which you would like to go for a walk, or simply take a walk around the block when you're feeling stressed or tired and clear your mind.

Simple Weightloss - How to Beat Food Cravings

All people suffer from food cravings. And what exactly is a craving? Well a craving is a terrible desire for a specific type of food, typically to satisfy one's palate, not just to satisfy hunger. You may find your daily or weekly craving is felt for sugary sweets like candy, or chocolate. For others it may be a craving for fatty potato chips or an extra glass of beer.

But, don't fret. The occassional craving is not a problem, in fact, in some cases it is actually a positive experience. Later on, when you have been good with your eating habits you can indulge your cravings, satisfying those needs or desires as a reward for all of your hard work. The trick lies in not allowing yourself to become constantly overwhelmed by your cravings and give in too often.

What lies at the heart of your cravings? You may think that your bad habits are responsible for this craving, or that you have very little will power. Although, these may be partially at fault, this doesn't tell the whole story. Food cravings are also biologically based. In order to beat the food craving we must understand these underlying reasons.

Your Reasons For Craving Food

Blood Sugar & Serotonin

If you are exhausted or feel depressed your body's natural reason for this is low levels of blood sugar. In response your brain signals that it needs something to raise your blood sugar levels. This very natural pattern is at the base of your craving for sugar or carbohydrates. Additionally, another chemical reaction that causes your cravings involves Serotonin, our bodies' feel-good hormone. When your body has a low level of Serotonin it tries to compensate by forcing you to ingest sugar or carbs to raise blood sugar and Serotonin levels.

But carbohydrates (such as sugar) only release a short burst of serotonin, quickly fading after being ingested and digested; when Serotonin levels and blood sugar levels fall back down, the craving returns.

But, there is another major reason why beating your cravings is so hard (and why they show up in the first place)!

Adrenal Fatigue

If you are stressed, not received a restful night sleep, or are just plain tired for no specific reason you are most likely suffering from adrenal fatigue.

Adrenal Fatigue, much like the process outlined above, involves your body sending a signal to the brain for a pick-me-up and that is your craving for sugar or carbohydrate snacks, or may be, coffee during the day; at night you may look for alcohol or carbohydrates. All of this only makes the problem worse.

Beating the craving

If you appreciate the basic reasons for the craving, then beating the food craving can be done. It may take a little time but it can be done. To break food cravings, the body needs healthy foods, additional nutritional supplements at times; this and moderate exercise can help curb cravings. This process may take some time, but you will succeed.

Weightloss

Seeking efficient weight loss can be tough. In no doubt, you can use up your life at the sports center, compulsively exercising ends dieting every second of the day to lose 10 pounds in a duo months, but who desires to do that? What I wish for is secure and thriving weight loss, if likely in pill form. I know that sudden weight loss is possible. I had friends who drop 20 pounds of body fat loss in two months. This was about no purpose of! He had been the equal weight for years - at least 50 pounds more than what he supposes have weighed. Yet he found a way to lose weight fast. He is my conqueror.

Sorry to say, the efficient weight loss pills that he used have been illegal since then. It seems that they can cause bouts of anger as well as heart attacks in people who use them. I say that this is a practical danger for useful weight loss. After the whole, if I know the danger, I can make a decision whether or not I want to take the pills can't I? This is America after all. I have the right to make my personal decisions, and if I want to take quite that could be dangerous in order to lose 20 pounds fast, I should be competent to do it!

At this point in time, it seems like there is no way to discover good information about which pills suggest efficient weight loss. All of the pills assert to, but most of them contain nothing but ineffective items. It is a fact that most diet pills nowadays are blown up with caffeine and very little else. They have a few herbs in them, but can these herbs really do anything to help you lose weight fast? I highly misgive it. I have been using weight loss pills for just about 2 years now, and nobody helped me drop anything. I have yet to find any useful weight loss pills in fact. There's just no simple, efficient way to lose weight.

I assume that I might have to leave for my part to do it out-of-date way. I disgust exercising, and I deride dieting, but if this is the simply item that works, I have no option. Subsequent to all, I am unwell of being fat. It is hard for me to acquire dates, and people give me unsightly looks on the street. All I want is to be treated properly, and to have women faint away when they glimpse at me.

Quick Weightloss - Advice

There is a bit of stress going on today. With 40+ hours work weeks and fast food diets. There is just not a pill that is going to make quick weightloss happen.

The extra weight did not magically appear overnight and it is probable not going away overnight.

The first thing you will need to do is pretty simple really. Just stay away from junk food. Mainly foods that do not have a health benefit.

Foods that are high in sugar are the main things. Namely goodies, munchies or what ever cute name you have for them, I call them crap.

Sodium or salt as it is called, is not good for you in high doses. Sodium retains water and can make you heavier than you really are.

Adjust your eating habits from three times a day to five times. You are probable thinking how will I lose weight if I eat more often.

The fact is you need to have smaller portions more frequently. This eliminate the between meal snacking and will also kick the metabolism into high gear.

It will also provide the metabolism with the fuel it needs to burn calories, because it does take fuel to burn stored up calories. Starvation diets do not work for this very reason.

Start a moderate exercise program. Start slow and add time and intensity as you are ready.

Going for a run or playing tennis is okay if you are energetic but if you want a more casual exercise program that is fine also.

Go for a nice brisk walk or park an exercise bike in front of the T.V., watch your favorite show while you exercise, multitask.

There is no exercise or pill that is going to make the weight just go away. But if you stay consistent and keep your focus on the end result you will slim down in no time.

Natural Weightloss For Obesity

Obesity is one of the most rampant diseases in America. In the United States alone, sixty million people suffer from it, and the statistics are increasing periodically. In fact, in women who are between the ages of twenty and seventy four, one third of all women are obese. Studies have shown that this is hugely due to pre-packaged food like microwaveable dinners and a decreasing number of physical activities.

So what exactly is obesity? Well, many people think that being over weight and being obese is the same thing. However, that is not true. Somebody who is over weight simply has a surplus of weight from fats, muscles, bones, and even water that is stored in the body. On the other hand, people who are obese simply have a surplus of fat in the body.

Unfortunately, not many people realize that it is a disease, and even poke fun at people who are suffering from it. This makes more and more obese people want to change their ways, and they often do it drastically. Unfortunately, a lot of bad decisions can lead to new sicknesses, illnesses, and diseases that just discourage obese people to lose more weight. But again, obesity is a disease.

To cure obesity, there are a lot of methods that people employ. However, according to recent studies, the only truly effective way to ward off this disease is natural weight loss. Although this strategy does not have instant results, this is the only one that seemed to last longer. In fact, studies have shown that people who employ natural weight loss strategy manage to be happy with the weight they are in, and maintain their ideal weight for good. On the other hand, when people employ artificial means of losing weight they suddenly shrink, but they gain back the pounds after less than a year, studies have shown.

So if you suffer from obesity, remember that the most effective and the safest way to shed the pounds is through natural weight loss. What does this involve? More exercise to burn off the calories and healthier food that is characterized by low calories and low sugar products. Natural weight loss also encourages people to look at food a different way, which leads to healthier food related decisions, that will ultimately guide the person all through out the rest of his or her life; making him or her keep his or her desired weight.

Weightloss Products - Fatloss 4 Idiots Exposed

Ah, who would not be bewildered with the entire lot of weightloss products in the market these days? It's becoming so, that it feels like every few days, a new product is being launched and marketed to the teeth. However, the bible-truth is this: not all weightloss products are the same. In fact, the only way for you to really ascertain what these weightloss products are supposed to do for you, is to read carefully its product labels, research its supposed promises, and ask a medical professional whether or not these products will work well for you or create such adverse conditions that you are better off without.

Here is the low-down:

1. The safest of all weightloss products possible are dieting books, especially if you just read them. Following them or subscribing to these ideas may not exactly be the best thing in the world. If you want diet programs and then you need do 2 things. First, go to your doctor for a full medical check-up, and inquire as to what kind of diet you need to go under. Depending on your medical condition, your doctor may prescribe you a number of diets. For diabetic or pre-diabetic individuals, a no-sugar / low sodium diet may be in the works. For other people who have mineral deficiencies, (like low potassium intake,) the doctor may even prescribe more food to help them regain better health.

The next step is to go to a registered dietician or nutritionist and ask for a detailed meal plan. Dieting books do not work because it presents a generalized scope of how weight loss should go. However, people do not have the same digestive tendencies, or the same weight loss problems, or the same lifestyles. A more personalized approach to dieting is always best.

2. Exercise videos, exercise machines, exercise gadgets and the lot are also weightloss products, designed to help a person lose weight by exercising. Enough said!

3. Fat burners are medicines, or diet supplements, or herbal remedies or skin application weightloss products designed (as the name suggests) to burn off unwanted fats. Products like these works on the principle of thermo-genesis: activating part of the thyroid gland to increase body temperature. Supposedly, the fats that are being burned off will be converted into energy that should be useful to the body. Fat burners are actually great for active people, or people who have regular exercise regiments since there is a need to expend that energy.

On a side note, if a person has a rather sedentary lifestyle, fat burners may not work well at all. Also, one needs to consider carefully the product labels. Some fat burner ingredients (ephedrine) are addictive in nature. There is also a strict need to take fat burners only as directed. Increasing dosages or application times will only lead to adverse conditions in the long run. More importantly, it will not help that person lose weight faster.

4. Anti-obesity drugs are the strongest medications among all weightloss products. This should not be confused with the "herbal" alternatives because the latter do not have the same pharmacological agents as the former; and therefore, do not have the same promised results. These should only be taken when prescribed by the doctor, and only for obese individuals. People with Type 2 diabetes are not advised to take such medicines as these may trigger unfavorable consequences. Most anti-obesity drugs work as appetite suppressants. Others help increase the metabolic system. Others help prevent fat absorption.

Weightloss Supplements - How Weightloss Patches & Diet Pills Can Control Your Appetite

All of us that have had a love-hate relationship with diets know that it is very easy to succumb to the phenomena known as the "yo-yo diet". What is the yo-yo diet, and how can we prevent ourselves from taking that path which can only end in disappointment, unhealthy weight gains and weightlosses, and damaged self esteem?

Yo-yo dieting, as it has been termed, is the cycle of losing and gaining weight that seems to be so prevalent in the United States. It is this cycle that causes several health issues, and also mental trauma in the people that experience it on a regular basis. The opposite of this, is of course the maintenance of a healthy body weight, without the typical ups and downs associated with the yo yo diet, except maybe a small fluctuation of a couple pounds around the holidays or times of stress and lifestyle changes.

There seems to be a neverending quest for the latest diet gimmick, the newest and greatest way to "cheat" the system, and eat whatever you want without paying the consequences both on the scale and healthwise. While there is no easy fix, there are definitely healthy methods and healthy weightloss pills, patches and systems that can help curb an overzealous appetite, and get the ball rolling in the right direction for healthy, consistent and permanent weightloss and maintenance.

The largest part of the equation seems to be the appetite. This can especially hold true for women, who seems to have more of a natural affinity towards sweets and certain types of unhealthy fats due to hormonal ups and downs. It has actually been scientifically proven that women are genetically "programmed" to hold more body fat than men for the specific reason of child bearing and the extra energy and body fat it requires to care for and feed an infant. While it is certainly true that women are at a slight disadvantage when it comes to cravings for unhealthy and calorie-rich foods, men certainly are not exempt from this characteristic.

Our society has increasingly come to rely on overly processed, nutritionally deficient foods that are too calorie dense, high on the glycemic index (read The Zone or South Beach Diet - they explain this in full!), and high in processed sugars, bad fats, and simple carbohydrates. The best diet products now in my opinion are the ones that actually help control the blood sugar constantly throughout the day, and accomplish this without caffeine and other harmful stimulants, resulting in dramatic decrease for unhealthy food cravings and overall appetite which in turns sheds pounds the healthy way.

Natural diet products like this are actually best utilized in patch form, where a patch is affixed to an area not visible for the entire day and night, which allows the body's blood sugar and appetite to be regulated 24/7. This benefits the dieter in several ways. First, there are no sudden appetite or blood sugar spikes if you forgot to take your diet pill at the right time. Second, it is more convenient for the user than to carry around diet or appetite suppressant pills on their person. Third, it releases a steady amount of appetite controlling nutrients, rather than all at once as with a pill form.

Some people who need help jump starting their diet may still prefer to use diet aids that are in pill form. There are also some excellent choices for that. There are now some great "carb cutting" and "carb control" pills out there that actually will reduce the effect of bad carbohydrates on the body by stabilizing blood sugar and kick the body into fat burning mode by burning up existing carbohydrates rather than storing them as fat like they would be normally when consumed in abundance. I mean, hey - we all have to have our pasta sometimes, right?

The good news is, with ephedra being banned form the consumer marketplace, we now have a lot of very safe and very effective diet and weightloss supplement options that we can take advantage of when we need to shed a few pounds. They can help prevent us from slipping back into the vicious cycle of the yo-yo diet by preventing it before it even has a chance to occur. Think of it as willpower in the form of a patch or pill!

How Coaching Provides Men With Successful Weightloss Solutions

More and more men are discovering that coaching is an amazingly effective method for losing weight. The outstanding successes recorded show that specialized weight loss coaching is fast becoming the preferred option for men looking to achieve their desired shape.

Up until recently, there have been very limited choices available for men. Most weightloss programmes are predominantly run by women, for women. The thought of attending a meeting full of women discussing their dietary problems or having a humiliating public weigh-in, sends shivers of horror through a lot of men. Other alternatives include specific calorie-counting diets, or supplement regimes which mean men are often left to follow these in isolation, relying only on their self-motivation, without any specialist support. Quite often they are inflexible and do not allow for social occasions, business lunches, entertaining etc. drawing attention to the individual's efforts to lose weight and making it even more difficult to stick to.

Historically gyms and health clubs were the only realistic and acceptable options men felt were available to them for achieving their health goals, even if these didn't fill them with motivation. The thought of exercising amongst younger, fitter men often put them off before they started , as the memories of how fit they used to be are brought back to them so vividly. In the UK 46% of men are over weight, so clearly the traditional options are not inspiring the majority of men looking to achieve a better body image.

So why has coaching become men's preferred method for achieving weightloss?

Negative eating habits are formed in childhood. Boys and young men are often treated differently from their female counterparts. Well meaning mothers and other family members often enjoy watching young men eating a hearty meal, encouraging them by giving them larger portions or offering second helpings. They were encouraged to 'eat up as you're a growing lad' or 'you need to build your strength up' or 'its great that you have such a healthy appetite'.

These behaviour patterns may not have seemed harmful then, when as young, active men they were able to burn the extra calories off without much effort, perhaps through sporting activities, going to the gym or walking more. Even when they start work and their lifestyles change, their youthful metabolism still masks potential problems with their diet.

The problems tend to start when these habits are carried through into middle age when due to less activity, driving, sedentary careers, men start to find that the calories that they were used to burning off are no longer as easy to shift. Unfortunately, this is not a subject that is brought up in general conversations amongst men. Although many would like to address their negative eating habits, they are unable to voice them. Often a few extra pounds are shrugged off as muscle, almost as a status symbol of an extravagant lifestyle, or even admired by some.

However, coaching has quietly been gaining increasing popularity within the male population as the favoured choice to help them achieve their weightloss goals.

The very nature of coaching - confidential, one-to-one sessions, on the telephone, with a non-judgmental supporter solely concerned in assisting you achieve your weightloss plan - has become extremely appealing to many. Having a highly-skilled, specialist coach to whom you are accountable to for your progress ensures that motivation and progress is sustained in the steps to losing weight. All these are benefits, which easily fit around other lifestyle commitments, are irresistible to men who have not been inspired by the traditional methods available. By dealing with some of the deep rooted habits around food, individuals are able to take control and make positive, empowering choices to ensure sustained weightloss, in total privacy.

By increasing their self-awareness and regaining a better balance they are also able to go to the pub, enjoy business lunches, or indulge in their favourite snacks without the feeling of guilt that usually follows. In fact, they don't have to publicize the steps they are taking to lose weight to anyone. Only when their family, friends and colleagues notice the huge improvements taking place to their weight, health and fitness will anything become apparent.

The enormous benefits open to men have meant trends now show that weightloss coaching is rapidly growing in popularity and has at last given men a highly-effective solution to losing weight in an environment that meets all their needs.

Caralluma Fimbriata - the New Weightloss Supplement

Caralluma Fimbriata is a succulent plant that belongs to the family of Asdepiadeceae which includes cactus plants. The plant bears star-shaped, fleshy flowers that are black, purple, red or yellow in color and the leaves tend to be spiny. In rural and tribal India the plant is used daily as a vegetable, eaten either raw or cooked or pickled. Indian tribals chew on pieces of the plant to ward off hunger and thirst and to improve energy levels especially on long hunts or during periods of famine. In fact the Indian Ministry of Health lists Caralluma as a medicinal plant and lists it as a famine food.

Caralluma has a combination of Glycosides that work by inhibiting enzymes (chiefly Citrate Lyase) and thus prevent accumulation of fat. The body uses stored reserves of fat to get calories and the nett result is a reduction in fat stores. In this aspect it acts as an agent that induces thermogenesis. Caralluma also suppresses appetite but its actions at the central nervous system level seems to be minimal in comparison to Hoodia. Caralluma also seems to improve the Serotonin concentration in the brain and this helps cause satiety and wards off depression associated with dieting and weight loss attempts.

Caralluma not only causes weight loss by suppressing appetite and causing stored fats to be burnt off but also is associated with a noticeable reduction in the waist circumference. Carraluma is thus finding use as a weightloss supplement, in diabetes due to its ability to reduce blood sugar levels and also as a vegetable. More and more weightloss supplements are using Caralluma as an active ingredient for its efficacy. Caralluma use has not been associated with any adverse effects or any stimulant activities. The very fact that the plant has been used for centuries and is continued to be used by people across India is testimonial to its safety.

Caralluma has the potential to be the next Hoodia and could even be better because of its limited action at a central level and also its ability to help lose inches. In summary it is safe to mention that Caralluma has made a strong beginning and only time will tell whether it would be the answer to obesity and its related adverse health effects.

For more information on Caralluma, its efficacy, safety and how it compares with Hoodia visit http://naturalremedies.weebly.com

5 Amazing Diet Tips for Powerful Weightloss

Before you try starving yourself or turning to diet drugs in order

to lose weight, take some time to research and discover more natural

and safer methods of reaching your weightloss goals. Here are five

food and excercise tips that you can get started with today.

1. Try to have breakfast within one hour of waking. It's always best

to have breakfast within an hour of waking so that your body can

charge itself with the energy it needs for the day. The idea is not

to wait for yourself to get really hungry. Breakfast is the most

important meal of the day but that does not mean that it should be

the most filling meal of the day.

2. Eat fresh fruit instead of drinking fruit juice. Juice is often

sweetened but fresh fruits have natural sugars. When you eat fruit,

you are taking in a lot of fiber, which is needed by the body, and

fruits of course are an excellent source of vitamins.

If you do have a craving for fruit juice then go for fresh fruit

juice instead of those that contain artificial flavors and colors. Or

even better, try making your own fruit juice taking care not to

sweeten it with too many calories.

3. Fix times to have meals and stick to it. Try to have food at

fixed times of the day. You can stretch these times by half an hour,

but anything more than that is going to affect your eating pattern,

the result will either be a loss of appetite or that famished feeling

which will make you stuff yourself with more than what is required

the next time you eat.

4. Tuck in your tummy whenever you walk. Get that proper gait. And

the best way for that is to tuck in your tummy and inflate your

chest. Do not let your tummy hang above your belt line like some

unruly layer of flesh. Bring it under the belt.

Each time you tuck in your tummy, you will feel the pressure on the

muscles of your stomach. This tightening and loosening of these

muscles is even better than stomach crunches.

5. This excercise routine is our favorite - punching your pillow. It

may sound like one of those weird ideas but believe me it works. Not

too many of us have punching bags at home and if you have really

fluffy pillow giving it a good punching routine is just as good as

anything else.

This is also a nice way of letting off steam, so go for it. After all,

something is better than nothing. But I would suggest that you do not

hit it too violently or else the stuffing might come out. Do not

bother too much about the force with which you hit the pillow. It is

number of hits that are important. Try to get at least fifty punches

in one bout.

I would like to give you a little tip over here. If there is

somebody that you particularly dislike like your boss or your

neighbor, or may be your ex-boyfriend or girlfriend, try fixing a

picture of the person's head on the top of your pillow and then try

punching it. I promise you, it will give you a lot of satisfaction!

Changing Your Eating Patterns is the Key to Long-Term Weightloss

Why don't diets work? Diets are usually too extreme to follow. This is because they cut down on way too many calories, which in turn causes your metabolism to slow down too much. Once your brain gets the signal that you are not receiving enough calories, it instantly reverts to "starvation mode" which serves to slow your metabolism and reserve any fat stores that you have.

This is why most diets work, initially, then stop working. Consider this instead. While you may wish to lose a lot of weight, this is something that cannot be achieved overnight. You may have put on that extra 30 pounds over the last 10 years or so. What makes you think that you can instantly lose that weight in 2 weeks? It is virtually impossible without liposuction or plastic surgery.

Since most of us cannot afford cosmetic surgery, we have to resort to more sensible measures. You should start off by examining what it is that you eat in a day. Do you have any idea how many calories you consume? What you need to do is keep a journal of what you eat. Everything that you eat, no exceptions, should be recorded in that journal. If you find it helpful, you can make notes about how you felt when you ate something or what led up to you eating that certain thing.

Sometimes we eat for all the wrong reasons, not because we are hungry, but because we are bored or upset. This is called "emotional" eating. This is one of the most dangerous things that we can do because we are basically seeking comfort from the food that we eat. If we don't find other ways to deal with our emotions, we will find ourselves out of control and it may lead to obesity.

If you are keeping a journal, then you can easily see what emotional triggers cause you to eat and what time of the day these triggers tend to occur. Your next step is to deal with the underlying issues of your triggers. Once you have these under control, then it will be easier to deal with your food consumption and to work towards healthier eating habits.

The best way to go about changing the way that you eat is to make very small changes, initially, nothing drastic. Cut out certain snacks or late night snacks to begin with, or if you absolutely have to have some sort of snack, make a healthier choice, such as a small plate of vegetables or fruit.

Is There Anything As A Safe Weightloss Regimen?

Perhaps there is nothing more emotionally draining and physically exhausting as attempting to lose weight. Some people are motivated enough to become a better person and be able to lead a healthier and longer life by losing weight safely and effectively. Some people are so disheartened that they will attempt anything to lose weight and inadvertently fall prey to dangerous ways of losing weight. The bottom-line though is to understand that expectations have to be realistic and a person attempting weightloss should feel comfortable with the way he or she looks and feels rather than how their peers or doctors would want them to be!

There is no such thing as a magic pill or magic diet. Safe weightloss has to be a long-term goal. Treatments and crash diets promising fast weightloss are nothing but bogus claims and any weight lost in this manner is sure to come back with a vengeance! The key to losing weight effectively and safely is to change the lifestyle and eating habits which ultimately are far more rewarding.

The first and foremost objective in safe weightloss should revolve around the diet. Some simple adjustments in the diet can positively impact the people around us too. Avoid sodas and fruit juices as much as you can and this will amount to at least 400 calorie reduction and try to drink at least 8 ounces of water per day. Secondly cut the portions of meal whenever you eat. For example, if you want to eat a pizza, cut it into two and eat one half first and try to do with it. Thirdly stop eating when you feel full. Pay attention when you eat by turning off the telly and chewing each morsel at least 40-50 times before you take the next bite. Avoid eating when you are upset or bored. Instead take a walk around the block, take the dog for a walk, go for a drive or anything else to take your mind off food.

Eat less often and if you wish to snack dig up the fruits and vegetables and eat them. This will only make your heart healthier, keep cancers away and help you lose weight! Do not forget vitamins and other food supplements to help you in your goals.

Food supplements are a great way to lose weight. Always use trusted and effective food supplements. Hoodia has begun to attain a reputation as a valuable food supplement for weightloss. Hoodia works by suppressing your appetite for over 6-8 hours and thus helps in cutting the snacking which is often difficult to get rid off while going on a diet. Try to get genuine and safe South African Hoodia from reliable sources.

Simple measures like these can get you back on the right track and avoid you from becoming another Obesity casualty.

How I Improved My Weightloss With A Kickboxing DVD

I woke up one morning to find myself more than 30 pounds

overweight. Imagine how it feels to suddenly realize the

athletic, muscular body that you had in college is now

soft, pale, droopy and flaccid. It was a nightmare that

snuck up on me in just a few years of trying to climb

the corporate ladder.
I dragged my low energy blobness to the local karate dojo

about 3 months ago. I had found their website on Google

and it was a full featured gym that taught boxing, muay

thai kickboxing, wrestling, jujitsu, and a whole bunch

of cardio and conditioning classes. I had bookmarked the

site and stared at it on my computer for weeks, lacking the

energy or determination to finally decide to lose weight.
About 2 months before I joined the gym I bought a cheap

kickboxing dvd online. My computer in my home office has

a dvd player, and when the UPS man dropped it off to me 3

days later, I ripped open the envelope and put it on.
This kickboxing dvd was a training program for beginners. I

was so out of shape I'm sure I was even worse than the

newest beginner, but I took a crack at it. I put on an

old pair of sweats, a Metallica tshirt and started working

out to the video.
I wish I had taped that first workout, I would win the ten

grand on America's Funniest Home Videos for sure. There's

me jiggling and bouncing in my office, knocking stuff of

the shelves and bumping into my desk. My cat took off like

it had been struck by lightening. My kicks literally were

no higher than knee high. I think I lasted 15 minutes

and was sucking wind like a 1972 Datsun B210.
The next day my knees hurt, my back hurt, the inside of my

thighs were aching, my shoulders and triceps were sore and

its the first time in years that I had felt that way. So

I did the kickboxing workout dvd again. And again. My

brain somehow realized that the pain meant I needed to do

the exercises. I worked out roughly 4-5 times a week for

almost 2 months and lost 7 pounds. This gave me so much

more confidence that I finally joined my gym. It's been

the best decision of my life.
In total my weightloss is approaching 25 pounds. I look

completely different. All my clothes are brand new and

are much smaller. I lost 4 inches off my gut. I can see

abs hinting about coming out, perhaps next summer!
My energy levels are incredible. I don't need an afternoon

nap or my 3 o'clock coffee. I make better choices now

when I go out to eat. I feel like a new man!

WeightLoss EBook(R) :Negative Calorie Foods

All foods have some calories. No food is actually "negative calorie" food. But the overall effect of certain foods in our body is that of "negative calories". Negative calorie foods are foods, which use more calories to digest than the calories the foods actually contain! Calories from these foods are much harder for the body to breakdown and process. In other words, the body has to work harder in order to extract calories from these foods. This gives these foods a tremendous natural fat-burning advantage, and these are also known as fat burning foods.

A piece of dessert consisting of 400 calories may require only 150 calories to be digested by our body, resulting in a net gain of 250 calories which is added to our body fat! According to this theory, for example, if you eat 100 calories of a food that requires 150 calories to digest, then you've burnt an additional 50 calories simply by eating that food.

Typically, a 25 calorie piece of broccoli (100 gram) requires 80 calories to digest, resulting in a net loss of 55 calories from the body fat!! Thus, the more you eat, the more you lose weight!!!

There are a wide variety of these negative calorie fat-burners in existence. In fact, there are a large number of foods that combine low calories, delicious taste, and excellent negative calorie properties. For reducing weight and to fight obesity, you should not starve anymore. You can eat a lot of these foods to lose that extra fat and to become slim naturally.

Some of these natural foods are asparagus, apple, beet, berries, broccoli, cabbage, carrot, cauliflower, celery, chili, cucumber, garlic, lettuce, grapefruit, lemon, mango, onion, orange, papaya, pineapple, spinach, turnip, zucchini, etc. The list of negative calorie foods contains about 100 foods.
